SHOPPING IN DUBLIN
Shopping doesn’t get better anywhere in Ireland than in Dublin. There are a dozen shopping districts around the city, each with something different to offer. Closest to our hotel n Dublin is the brilliant Liffey Valley. Constantly undergoing changes and improvements, you’ll find over 80 stores, 20 restaurants and a cinema so you could easily get lost for the day. Liffey Valley is just 10-minutes drive from Aspect Hotel.
Dublin City Centre is a Mecca for shopping. We have world-famous department stores and brands ranging from high street to high end. The city has two sides, the North Side shopping zone contains high street stores like H&M, Penneys and Zara while the more affluent Grafton Street on the South Side of Dublin, contains a more high-end experience with shops like Brown Thomas, The White Company and Weir & Sons Jewellers to name a few. Getting there is easy. It’s a 25-minute drive or a 40-minute bus journey from our hotel in Park West.
Travelling in the opposite direction, Kildare village is a 35-minute drive or just over an hour on the bus and is well worth the journey. You’ll find top designer labels at hugely discounted prices. With big names Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Levi, Coast and more at bargain prices, it’s a shopaholic dream. It’s a great place for a girl’s or family shopping trip, and you’re sure to find something for everyone at Christmas.
THINGS TO DO NEAR PARK WEST
Guinness Storehouse is one of the most popular, multi award winning tourist attractions in Dublin City Centre. Located only 15 minutes from the Aspect Hotel, the experience gives visitors a glimpse into the history, present and future of Dubin and this iconic brand. The historic venue is filled with the rich history of Guinness, including some working brewing machines, their advertising through the years and most importantly a taste of the delicious black stuff at the top of the shop – The Gravity Bar.
Phoenix Park is one of Dublin’s gems and a short distance from our four-star hotel. You could visit for a walk, to enjoy the local flora and fauna, for exercise, to watch the wild deer or visit one of Ireland’s most popular children’s attractions, Dublin Zoo. Each year From October to January something spectacular occurs at Dublin Zoo. When the sun sets the zoo comes alive with a showcase of illuminated lanterns, handmade with a unique theme each year.
